Kumar joined the Udayapur team in 2009 as a madal drum and harmonium teacher. He has a Master Degree in Arts and Bachelor In Education. He also took madal lessons and musical training from qualified instructors in Kathmandu. In the past, Kumar has taught in the public school in the municipality of Katari, Udayapur.
Kumar believes that learning to play music is a skill that brings harmony and peace and it keeps children away from unsocial activities. As a Coordinator he works with teachers to plan classes and schedules, overseeing that everything runs smoothly. He also inspires and encourage other teachers to give their best at class.
