Tibetan Refugee Center
The Playing For Change Foundation is working to rebuild and enhance the TIbetan refugee centers in Dharamsala, India and Kathmandu, Nepal. When Tibetans flee their homeland and complete the four-week trek through the Himalaya Mountains, they are often malnourished and in need of immediate medical attention due to prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures and other dangers during their journey. The Tibetan refugee centers in Dharamsala and Khatmandu provide Tibetans with food and shelter as they begin their lives in exile. PFCF is helping to improve the quality of these centers so they may provide a greater level of care and continue to support these brave men, women and children. We continue to be inspired by the amazing Tibetan musicians, monks, and many others we met on our journey. They are a driving force in our mission to further the cause of peace through music.
