Originally from Oakland, California, Khadejhia grew up with a love for music, but her passion for playing it began after getting her first guitar at the age of 8. After working in the non-profit sector for over three years, she decided to attend Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA, where she recently graduated cum laude with an Associate’s Degree in Guitar Performance. During her time there, she earned the Fall 2014 Daisy Rock Bangles/Vicki Peterson Guitar Scholarship for outstanding musicianship, band performance skills, and originality in the Rock/Pop genre, as well as the Guitar program’s Outstanding Student 2016 award. Wanting to merge her non-profit experience and passion for music, Khadejhia joined the Playing for Change Foundation as Operations Coordinator, and is excited to get back to making the world a better place through her work!
