We are beyond happy to announce that we, the Khlong Toey Music Program, have successfully achieved our registration as a non-profit organization in Thailand. From now on, we will be the Paintbrush Foundation

Why Paintbrush?

First, we’ve been expanding our original music program to other kinds of arts for the past 4 years, and we do hope to teach many more types of arts in the near future. Also, using the name of Khlong Toey ties us to our current location and could make it harder for us to expand to another community, should we decide to do so.

Finally, the Paintbrush represents the skills we teach to our students. What we are doing through our lessons is merely handing them a tool. Ultimately, they are the ones who decide what to do with it, what colour to paint their sky with.

This registration is a personal and professional recognition for all these years we’ve put into our work. We can’t express how honoured we are to have obtained this status, and to be given the chance to finally make our dreams come true. This will give us more visibility, credibility, and allow us to raise the required funds to grow our school to its full potential. It is a key milestone in our development, one we’ve been working on for years, and we’re very excited about the possibilities that it is now opening to us.

Our school is currently closed because of the sanitary situation, but we’re making the best of this time to build a strong basis for our foundation. Once we reopen, nothing will stand between us and our dreams anymore.

For all the support, the words of encouragement, and the trust over the past 8 years, THANK YOU.
