Emergency Relief in Ukraine
Harsh winter attacks last winter during the ongoing conflict with Russia targeted Ukraine’s energy sector and left millions without power in below freezing temperatures. PFCF and our local partner HIG mobilized quickly, raising more than $70,000 in January and February to buy generators and fuel so that bomb shelters, apartment complexes, and community centers could turn the lights back on and receive heat. In total more than 20,000 people were directly impacted, including children in oncology centers in a local hospital in Ternopil who received thermal support amidst no heat and windows that had been damaged.

PFCF and HIG are already looking ahead to the winter months of late 2026 and 2027, with the Russian Ministry of Defense publicly stating they will target Ukraine’s energy sector once again this upcoming winter. We have launched a $200,000 campaign to purchase more generators and fuel, insulate and refurbish bomb shelters across 10 cities around the country, activate educational programming amidst emergencies, and provide mental health support to thousands of Ukrainian children. We have already raised $50,000 towards these goals. Join hands with us today to help us prepare for a tough winter ahead.
Our goal is to raise $200,000 to provide winter resilience support to 20,000 people, primarily children and displaced families, in community centers and schools across Ukraine.

Winter in these regions means frequent blackouts, limited heating, disrupted education, and rising emotional stress. Our response combines warmth, safety, education, and psychosocial support.
What your support delivers:
$12,000 – Fuel for six bomb shelters
$5,000 – Starlink internet access (equipment + 6 months service), providing stable connectivity for up to 5,000 children during blackouts, supporting education, communication, and workshops
$8,500 – Logistical support for our field team to deliver hands-on workshops, conduct a thermal audit of a classroom, and carry out basic repairs and insulation improvements
$35 – Winter resilience kit for one child, including a power bank and visibility items for safety during blackouts
$135 – One full day of childcare support combined with art-therapy and psychosocial workshops, including all necessary materials
$685 – Battery-powered amplifier for guitars and microphones, allowing music education and daily practice to continue even without electricity
$35,000 – Renovations of 10 bomb shelters across Ukraine for the benefit of 15,000 people ($3,500 per shelter on average)
