To Help Each Other | Mirpur Music Program - Dhaka, Bangladesh

To the world they may be just a teacher, but to the students that are heroes. Meet Tuhin and Raju from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Together they have created the Mirpur Music Program with the goal of teaching disadvantaged youth living in slum conditions outside Dhaka.

Playing for Change Foundation has a Matching Gift challenge!

On Tuesday, November 27, #GivingTuesday we will be part of the Facebook Matching Gift Challenge! The matching gift challenge is only on Tuesday, November 27 #GivingTuesday from 5:00am PT and expires 11:59pm Pacific Time!

One day only to help us make our goal of $250,000 and guarantee these children receive a quality education.

Why is that important?

To the world they may be just a teacher, but to these students they are heroes.

Your generosity secures the gift of education to children in places such as the slums of Mirpur district of Dhaka, Bangladesh where 32% of the population live below the poverty line of $2 a day, the children's malnutrition rate is 48% and the illiteracy rates are among the highest in the world.

Our programs give children of remote and impoverished areas free access to music and arts education in addition to a multitude of other knowledge. They gain cultural awareness and are given the freedom to explore how they see themselves in the world and and to create economic opportunity.

In order for us to continue these invaluable music and arts programs around the world we need to raise $250,000 by December 31st. We need you to be our Champions of Change!

On Tuesday, November 27th log onto the Playing For Change Foundation Facebook page and hit the Donate button to make a tax-deductible gift. Facebook will match it dollar for dollar but only on #GivingTuesday

Please tweet, post on Instagram and Facebook and get the word out to family and friends.

We have an amazing opportunity on #GivingTuesday to double our donations so let’s make this happen!!!!

Together we can create change.
