Martín Chemes was born in the city of Rosario, Argentina. He is a musician, harmonica player, cultural manager, and music teacher. He also is the producer and director of the “Rosario International Harmonica Festival” since 2016.
He’s been working as a professional harmonica player since 2002 and as a professor since 2005, teaching to private students and also in educational institutions to many eager students. Just over 600 in the last few years. Also, in 2013 he got the certificate as Professor of Elementary Education, to further increase his teaching capabilities.
Martín is “Featured Artist” of Lee Oskar Harmonicas since 2011. He was appointed by Lee Oskar himself as the Lee Oskar Harmonicas Ambassador in South America in 2016. Since 2018 Martin teachers harmonica at the PFCF music program in Diamante, Argentina
Martin has participated to many recording sessions, international tours, and shows at different festivals. His tours through South America and the United States stand out. Having recorded and shared the stage with artists like Tom Holland, Eddie Shaw, Jimmy Burns, Harry Hmura, Billy Branch, Jerry Portnoy, among others. He’s also been part of “Lurrie Bell Band” (a great American blues guitarist and singer) during his 2012 Latin-American tour.
