Salam Music Program – Uganda
Joyce Akujo is a dedicated community leader in Bidibidi, refugee settlement in Northern Uganda. Since 2024, she works with the Salam Music Program and Sina Loketa to mobilize the community and advocate for the rights of vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, children, orphans, and single mothers. Her efforts have made a positive impact in promoting women’s and children’s participation, in PFCF’s and Sina Loketa music and agrofarming programs. She believes that “Every child, person with a disability, orphan, and single mother deserves better.” Joyce holds a South Sudan Certificate of Education and a certificate in Peacebuilding. She values music as a tool that helps children become more creative and perform better in school.
