Tintale Village Mothers Society

Amita is the Treasurer of the Mother’s Society. She was born in 1991 ( 2048 in the Nepali calendar) in Inaruwa, Sunsari. She is married with two sons and lives with her family of four.

Amita completed her intermediate studies and previously worked as a tailor. She is skilled in tailoring, woolen handicrafts, and also enjoys playing the Madal. Growing up in an educated family with one sister and one brother, Amita had the opportunity to attend school and was treated equally without discrimination.

Her inspiration to join the Mothers’ Society came from observing how others were working to remove social distortions and evils, which motivated her to contribute toward societal change. Amita has been an active member of the Mothers’ Society since 2073 B.S. (2016), for six years.The program has had a profound impact on her life, helping to end violence, inequality, and caste discrimination. To achieve her goals, she believes education, public awareness, and greater participation are essential.
