The Joudour Sahara Music Program in M’hamid El Ghizlane, Morocco has entered a new phase of creating positive change in the Sahara Desert. Award-winning Moroccan architect Aziza Chaouni has designed state-of-the-art cultural and environmental facilities that respond to the great needs of the region. With support from Sahara Roots Foundation, we have begun construction of a habitable water reservoir that will also serve as a music classroom.
“This will be the first construction of its kind in southern Morocco. Playgrounds for children, music classrooms, a studio, outdoor amphitheater, an ecolodge residency, all thermally comfortable anytime throughout the year”
