Horario Camargo

Horario is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Peru. Born in Lima, Peru, he grew up in the Callao district of the capital, exposed to traditional Peruvian music, salsa, and his first passion, soccer. His life took on a musical direction after a family trip to the central highlands of Peru, where his ancestors are from, and he discovered the “zampoña,” an Andean flute that changed his life. This instrument sparked his curiosity and began his musical exploration.

The start of his career was marked by cultural trips internationally, participating in UNESCO international festivals in Europe, representing Peru. His versatility as a musician has allowed him to work in various fields, such as film, scoring movies, and as a performer and session musician, collaborating with some of the most important artists in Peru. He has traveled the world, performing at iconic venues like “Rose Hall Jazz at Lincoln Center,” “Moods Jazz Club” (Zurich), and “Teatro de Bellas Artes de Bogotá,” exploring different musical genres such as jazz, electronic music, Brazilian music, Afro-Latin rhythms, and world music.
