Born and raised in Kigali, Rwanda, Irene is a professional guitarist who joined the Ubuntu team in 2021 as a guitar teacher. He began playing music at a young age and after finishing secondary school, he studied music. Irene’s primary professional skills include playing acoustic and bass guitar and also being a guitar teacher. Irene has performed as a guitarist in various music bands and festivals in the last few years. He believes that music education can change his student’s minds in a positive way and help them avoid troubles such as drugs and family conflict.
