Kishan Adhikari is a musician, actor and sound therapist born in Kathmandu, Nepal. The spiritual and artistic valley granted him consciousness and poured the knowledge of art.
He is an artist performing in stages since he was 3. After school he started singing in the bars and pubs for tourist in Thamel (Kathmandu). There he chose the magical instrument “Guitar” that freed him from his inner inhibition and shyness disappeared. Then in 2009 he had the opportunity to work as a volunteer in a village at Tintale, Udaypur through the Playing for change Foundation as a first guitar teacher at the village.
Left Nepal for studies at the same year, London welcomed him with its open arms. Fascinated by music and art in Camden Town he started his journey of music, busking around London and performing in pubs.
His spirituality led him places and the journey of Europe started in 2011. Paris was the city after London, the most beautiful and artistic place where he started exploring the language with the help of music. There he discovered the true beauty of expression through music listening to legends such as Edith Piaf, Francis Cabrel and later travelled to Bruxelles and made friends with some street singers and got influenced by artist like Jacques Brel, Philippe Lafontaine and Stromae. Busking in the streets of Namur, Antwerpen, Gent and Leuven he started writing songs in English and Nepali.
2013 was the year and October was the month where he decided to head back home to Nepal but a friend invited him to Barcelona, Spain before going back. Near to the beach with so much art, it was an overwhelming situation and he started singing in the streets and the beaches of Barcelona.
Circumstances hits and he moved to Madrid and the whole journey began again. Singing in the streets and metro took him to act on theaters and then to the big stages like SPAIN’s GOT TALENT . He has featured in Spanish Motion Picture called “LA CIMA” as an actor which is streaming on digital platform like Amazon Prime Video.
Now his songs are in Spotify and has a channel in Youtube named Kishan Adhikari where he has songs in Nepali, English and Spanish. His album “MOKSHYA Vol.1” is already out with 9 songs touching different genres and also has an EP in Spanish named ANANDA which came out in 2019.
After earning his Pop/Rock diploma in vocals from the renowned Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Kishan Adhikari is now teaching music and conducting workshops at various venues across Nepal. His passion for education and experience is shaping a new wave of aspiring musicians.
