Said Morad is a native of Ouarzazate, Morocco. He is a self trained musician, originally teaching himself guitar at the age of 17. He joined the Amazigh group Mallal as a guitarist and songwriter in the year 2000, and to date has recorded 10 studio albums with the group. Said has participated in such major festivals and concerts across Morocco such as Festival Mawazine in Rabat, Festival Timitar in Agadir, The Sacred Music Festival of Fes, Festival Targalte in M’hamid el Ghizlane, as well as the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, and other shows across Europe. He recorded his own album “Taroulla” in 2007.
