Sarita is an active member of the Mothers’ Society. She was born in 1996 ( 2053, in the Nepali calendar) in Bhalayadada, Udayapur.

She is married with one son and one daughter, living in a family of seven. She completed her +2 level education and previously worked as a tailor. Her skills include weaving mats, crafting traditional “pira” (stools), and other stitching-related tasks.

Durga grew up in a relatively educated family with two brothers and one sister. She was allowed to attend school and was treated equally, without any discrimination. She was inspired to join the Mothers’ Society to eliminate social stigmas and help build a positive society.

She became active in the Mothers’ Society in 2022 and has been a member for less than a year. Since joining, she has seen positive changes in her community, such as a reduction in child marriages and discrimination, along with the promotion of positive thinking.
