Since 2023
PFCF and Young Musicians United (YMU) have come together to widen access to music education and the arts for students across diverse communities within Miami. This collaboration began by supporting new music education programming at Citrus Grove Middle School, and has since expanded to include support for YMU’s free-of-charge, professional-grade music studio in the Wynwood area of Miami.
Additionally, PFCF and YMU are working on international collaborations and exchanges with other PFCF programs globally.
About YMU
Young Musicians Unite believes that every child deserves access to music education regardless of their socio-economic background. They collaborate with schools to provide free music education, which has been proven to inspire personal development, foster a sense of community and prepare our future leaders. YMU currently offers music education courses in 50 schools across Miami-Dade County, reaching more than 9,000 students each week.
