École De Musique de Kirina
Marietou plays the Djembe and is very excited to be among the best in her age group. Both of her parents are farm workers, but she intends to leave the farm and pursue a future in singing. She doesn’t get to play music outside of the classroom, so she is grateful to the Playing For Change Foundation for creating an opporunity to play at Kirina Music school. Marietou says that through her music classes, she has become more comfortable speaking up in public school.
