This album was created by our team at the Zaatari Music Program, based in the Zaatari refugee camp in northern Jordan. Launched in September 2023 by the Playing For Change Foundation, in partnership with Questcope and the Dream Day Foundation, the program offers artistic opportunities to young people from a community of more than 70,000 Syrians who have lived there since 2012.

Our recording studio is housed inside a 40-foot container. Our staff members have received in-person training both at the studio and in Amman with professional musicians and producers. This album represents the collaborative work of our teachers and students in Zaatari, focusing on traditional music recordings and traditional songs.
