Gayatra Devi Dahal is originally from Gaighat, a small yet culturally vibrant town in Nepal, where she continues to live and contribute to her community. She completed her secondary school of education and has since devoted much of her life to music and creative expression. Her journey in Music began about 30 years ago after her marriage,inspired from her partner’s dedication to music,which became a turning point in her artistic life. Deeply influenced by traditional instruments like Madal and Harmonium, Gayatra not only nurtured her own passion but also inspired her husband to explore diverse musical styles alongside her. With unwavering dedication,she worked tirelessly day and night to refine her musical skills. Today, she stands as a respected and accomplished music teacher at Gaighat. She strongly believes that music plays a vital role in shaping young minds by fostering creativity,discipline and emotional expression.
