Laura is a journalist based in New York City, currently working as a producer for ABC News’s 20/20. Previously, she worked as a general assignment and crime reporter for the New York Daily News, where she covered breaking news, courts, politics, crime, housing and education. Her writing has also appeared in The New York Times, The Economist, The Atlantic, The Daily Beast, The Huffington Post, Mic and others. Laura earned a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s Journalism School. Prior to pursuing a career in journalism, she lived in Pretoria, South Africa and worked for the Clinton Health Access Initiative as an HIV/AIDS program analyst stationed within the South African National Dept. of Health. Laura is a certified yoga teacher, the proud mama of a yellow lab named Kenny, and the (super fun) auntie to six nieces.
