Imagine if you were a young music student and had the opportunity to perform for one of the most famous musical groups in your country. For the children of the Mitrata Home, where founder Nanda Kulu has saved the lives of literally hundreds of children who had nowhere to go, performing for members of Sur Sudha was a dream come true and a moment to shine in ways they never could have imagined.
A source of tremendous joy and inspiration for the children is their music program. Teachers and mentors encourage learning and freedom of expression.They learn traditional music and dance every week. They are instilled with a sense of belonging and supported into becoming healthy, economically independent, educated adults who have the opportunity to live happy, meaningful lives.
