Pedro Cordero

Program Coordinator

Cahuita Music Program, Costa Rica

Pedro Cordero Argüello was born in San José, Costa Rica, and currently lives in Cahuita, in the South Caribbean region of Costa Rica. He made the decision to move there when his children were newborns, seeking a life more connected to nature, community, and meaningful values.

He has spent his entire professional life working in tourism, sales, and customer service, gaining strong practical experience in problem-solving and working with people from all walks of life. Rather than formal titles, his strength lies in his hands-on ability to make things happen.

Pedro considers himself an environmentalist and believes in maintaining a balance between development and respect for the natural environment. He is currently part of the Cahuita Playing For Change program as an administrative assistant, although his role extends far beyond that. He supports daily operations, coordinates activities, manages communication, assists visitors, handles logistics, and even drives the bus when needed. His work focuses on ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the program.

He is deeply passionate about his work because of its real impact on the community, especially on young people. His greatest motivation is his family, and seeing his children grow up with access to music and new opportunities.
