Originally from Khon Kaen Province, Ms. Ploypailin Mooltreepakdee has devoted her life to the art of Thai classical dance. Her journey began in elementary school, inspired by the elegance of Thai costumes and graceful movement. She studied Lakhon Nang (traditional female character dance) at Kalasin College of Dramatic Arts and earned her bachelor’s degree in Thai Dance Studies from the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute. Now teaching at Dhammajarinee Witthaya School, she specializes in preserving traditional dance while creating innovative adaptations of Thai classical and folk forms. She believes that Thai dance is crucial for youth today, offering a way to stay connected to Thai identity amidst fast-moving technology. Beyond preserving culture, she emphasizes the benefits of dance for posture, patience, emotional maturity, memory, and meaningful use of free time. Her goal is to inspire students to carry Thai heritage forward with pride and creativity.
