Saïba is a kora player who grew up in a Griot family where almost everybody plays music or sings. His grandmother, Dédé Kouyaté is a renowned female Griot singer in Mali.

Saïba is currently studying law at the University of Mali. He played kora with many great Malian musicians like Ballaké Sissoko (who took him and ten other young kora players to Morocco to perform), Kandia Kouyaté, Cheick Siriman Sissoko, Oumou Dédé Damba (his mother), Mariam Djodjo Diabaté, Fatim Diabaté (his sisters), Alou Sam, Assan Kida, Babani Koné, Vinssanlassale, and Roberto Luti of the Playing for Change Band.

Saïba joined the team at Ecole de Musique de Kirina in January 2017 and has also participated in several recording sessions with the Playing for Change crew during their last visit to Mali in February 2017.
