Suman Maharjan, born in Kathmandu local core area in Newar community and young talented percussionist of Drums of Kathmandu valley. His journey started learning folkloric and traditional instruments of valley since childhood following his father and friends. He is one of the leading performer and teacher at communities of Kathmandu local areas. He is founder member of a famous instrumental band “Jhigu Kanta Dab Dab” in Kathmandu.
Suman joined Kathmandu Music Program since 2021 as Madal teacher. He regularly involves musical activities leading his students and groups on stages. He often takes his students in various competitions on Madal and other local instruments.
