Mohammed Sadia is a 25 years old young and vibrant lady born and raised in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana. Sadia received her Primary and Junior High School education in the neighborhood where she grew up. Growing up in a multi-cultural environment, she understands and speaks Dagbani, Hausa and Twi and of course fluent English.
Growing up with great ambition and dreams of becoming an artist, she has spent the last 10 years of her life pursuing this dream. Today, Sadia is a professional dancer, lead female instructor, and vocalist at the Tamale Youth Home Cultural Group (TYHCG) center in Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. An organization that for the past 25 years have natured and groom youth to become professional Drummers and Dances across the globe.
As a professional dancer, she has led the training of other young people at the Tamale Youth Home Group Centre to become dancers. She has participated in workshops conducted for tourists who visit the center and performed in numerous performances conducted by the group at regional and national levels. She participated in several ceremonies and events, including the National Farmers Day, Presidential Inaugural Ceremony, World Malaria Day, amongst others. She worked in other music and dance development projects carried out by the center. She was one of the Teachers of a 3-year Music and Dance Development Project run by the TYHCG in collaboration with Egedal Music School(Denmark) and the Institute for Music and Development (Ghana). She has also taught students in different schools in the metropolis.
As such her role in domestic activities carried out by TYHCG, she has traveled to South Africa and Denmark on exchange programs, where she did various performances and participated in workshops to share the rich culture of Ghana and learn in return from others. Sadia likes music, dancing, and playing games.
