Born and raised in Western Cape Town, Themba joined the Imvula team in 2021. As an Administrative Assistant, he is responsible for various tasks such as helping out other staff members, making videos and photos of students playing music or helping them beading during Visual Arts class. He also makes sure that they eat before getting ready to go home. “My regular day of work at the program is awesome because I love children, and I enjoy working with them. That helps me to grow as a person and to improve my skills,” he says.
Themba thinks that music can make a big difference in his community because it keeps children out of the streets. And even their parents are thrilled that their children are learning something that will help them in the future.
