Director
Tintale Village Mothers Society
Parbati Dahal is currently the President of the Mother’s Society. She was born in Prapcha, Okhaldhunga, in 1973 (7th Ashad, 2030, in the Nepali calendar). Married with four children—three daughters and one son—she lives with her family of six in Tintale.
Parbati grew up in an educated family in Prapcha, alongside two brothers and a sister. Unlike many women of her time, she was fortunate to attend school and was treated equally, free from discrimination.
Since 2060 B.S. (2003), Parbati has been actively involved in the Mother’s Society, contributing for the past 19 years. She has been raising awareness about gender-based violence, including domestic abuse, human trafficking, child marriage, and other forms of violence that disproportionately affect individuals based on their gender.
Her advocacy extends to securing equal rights for Dalits, indigenous communities, and people from marginalized backgrounds. Parbati’s motivation to join the Mother’s Society stems from her passion to eliminate social distortions, harmful customs, negative influences, and discrimination from society.
