Salomon first began learning music when he joined a dance and music group in Johannesburg, where he grew up. Previously to joining our team in 2015, Salomon taught dance lessons at different schools and in his community. When he moved to Capetown, and an ex-colleague introduced him to the Imvula Music Program.
Salomon considers that music education can help children build a career, develop skills, and improve their self-esteem.”For children from unprivileged families to learn music, it teaches them respect and love for their surroundings,” he says.
Besides being a dance teacher, he also manufactures Marimbas and drums. His favorite artists include Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, and Johnas Ngwangwe.
