Stacie Freasier is a social sector enthusiast with a deep understanding of purpose driven organizations, having sixteen years of nonprofit management experience. She’s currently a nonprofit strategy consultant for La Piana Consulting, a national firm with considerable expertise supporting nonprofits and foundations with strategic and business planning, restructuring, and other governance, leadership, and management-related needs.
Prior to La Piana, Stacie served as Director of Knowledge Strategy for the Council on Foundations. She has also held positions at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, as well as notable academic institutions.
Stacie is founder and CEO of c3 Catalyst Consulting, a boutique strategy consultancy focused on music-centric nonprofits and start-ups. She is a member of The Recording Academy, Americans for the Arts, and the National Arts Strategies network.
Her educational background includes a M.A. in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego, a B.A. in Sociology (minor in Music) from the University of Texas at Austin, an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Financial Stewardship from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and an Executive Certificate in Arts and Culture Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania.
A fifth-generation South Texas native, Stacie hit the road and has lived and worked in Austin, San Diego, New York City, Washington, D.C., and she currently lives in Boston. When taking a break from music and social change, she is exploring the world with her husband Nabil and their son Rumi.
Stacie joined the Playing for Change Foundation board in 2017 and serves as board secretary.
