Rajat Shrestha is a full-time musician and dedicated music student from Kathmandu, Nepal. He is currently in his final year of the Jazz Diploma program at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, where he continues to refine his artistry and deepen his understanding of jazz and contemporary music. With over 10 years of experience, Rajat’s primary instrument is the guitar, through which he expresses both technical skill and deep musical sensitivity.

Alongside his studies and performance career, Rajat is a passionate guitar teacher at Nawa Asha Griha and Alaya Art School. In the classroom, he is known for his calm, friendly approach and his ability to connect closely with students. Rajat places special emphasis on helping young guitarists overcome the fear and hesitation that often come with learning an instrument. By creating a relaxed and encouraging environment, he helps students build confidence, develop patience, and enjoy the learning process without pressure.

Rajat is also actively involved in Kathmandu’s music scene through various bands and projects, including Metronome, Niva Dangol, Chabahi Dabu, and Hulaki. Through performance, collaboration, and teaching, he continues to contribute meaningfully to the city’s vibrant musical landscape.

As a teacher and musician, Rajat brings warmth, patience, and genuine care into every lesson, helping students feel comfortable with their instruments, trust their abilities, and discover joy in making music.
