Board Member
Howard Hoffen is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Metalmark Capital,an independent private equity firm. Howard is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1985 and Morgan Stanley private equity in 1986. He oversaw the private equity businesses of Morgan Stanley, including Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, Venture Partners and Global Emerging Markets. Howard was formerly a member of the Management Committee for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He currently serves as a director of EnerSys, which trades on the NYSE. Howard also serves on the boards of a number of private companies in industries such as healthcare, energy, industrials and agribusiness.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Howard served as a member of the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Board of Visitors at Columbia University from 2006-2012 and 2015-2021.
