Melabantu Maxhama, originally from Cape Town and currently living in Old Crossroads, is deeply passionate about music and education. Having finished high school in 2013 and completed a degree in Entrepreneurship from CPUT in 2019, Melabantu is now pursuing a Film and Television Learnership with SETA. With over 20 years of singing experience and more than 10 years as a vocal trainer, Melabantu has a rich background in music.
Having joined the music program in 2023, Melabantu strongly believes in the importance of music education for young people. To Melabantu, music is a skill that lasts a lifetime and serves as a universal language, relevant no matter where you are in the world. Melabantu sees music as a valuable career option, providing hope for those who may not succeed in traditional academic paths.
